2nd Quarter Progress Reports

Will be sent home with K-5 students and mailed home to Middle School students on Wednesday, November 18.

Will be held during the week of 11/16-11/20. 

All students need to return a permission slip allowing them to participate or excusing them from the program.  Permission slips were due on Friday, 11/13.

TCDS Flu Update: October 23, 2009

Today we have two students out of school with “influenza like symptoms” (ILS).  This figure is based on reports from parents and their physicians, and is not an official number.  The cases occurred in first, fifth, and 7^th grade and were in different classrooms.  Eight students who were previously absent with ILS have returned to school after being fever-free for 24 hours or more.

We will continue to monitor and update this bulletin daily.

3rd Through 8th Grade Parents --
Now You Can Access Your Child's Grades Online

• Click here to go the gradebook login page. 
   

• Choose "Parent Registration" and enter ID code tcd2009.
   

• Once you sign up, we will verify your registration and send you an email with your username and password.  It only takes a few minutes and you'll soon be able to see your child's grades and work completed online.
   

• Need Grade Book Help?  Get help navigating through the grading system by clicking here. 
   

• Missing your login information?  If you have signed up for PTREE and have not received your username and password, please check your SPAM or JUNK mail.  Many parents have told us that is where their login email ended up.  The email is coming from PTREE, not TCDCharterSchool.
  
  Or, you can go to the PTREE login page (click here) and click on the link under the login area that says "Forgot Password?"  Type in the email address you used to register. If you have an account, the system will email your login information to you.
  If you do not have an account, the system will tell you the email you entered is not in its records. If this happens, choose the "Parent Registration" link and sign up one more time.  Our Parent Registration code is tcd2009.

State Standards

Do you want to see the State Standards for your child's grade? Download the Arizona State Standards here. 

Be sure to take a look at the Super Standards you received at Meet and Greet.  They'll give you an excellent idea of what your child will learn this year.

Each week, the TCDS E-Planner will give you updated information about your child's class.  You can find out what special projects are going on, what's due in class and what the homework assignments are.  Simply find the appropriate E-Planner link below.  In Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, you'll find one E-Planner for the whole grade.  In third through eighth grade, each teacher creates their own E-Planner. 

Just click on the link that says E-Planner and you'll be taken to the most recent update.  If you have any questions, you can email your child's teacher by clicking on the link under their picture that says "Send Me An Email". 

Scroll down the page to see what's available - you won't want to miss the updates from our Special classes (Art, Music, PE, K-5 Spanish and K-5 Technology), our Exceptional Education program and our school counselor. 

NOTE ABOUT E-PLANNER UPDATES

The K-5th grade E-Planners are updated on Friday and contain an update of what happened during the week as well as information about upcoming events.  The 6th, 7th and 8th grade E-Planners are updated on Monday after school and reflect the homework and class assignments for the current week.
